Stridolo is an easy to grow annual Italian heirloom speciality. This leafy green herb (also known as Sculpit) is quick growing, making thin lance shaped leaves, with a rather delicate flavour, like a mild Tarragon.
It can produce leaves all year round, used in salads & cooked (risotto & omelets for instance). It is commonly eaten in Italy, Spain & Cyprus.
Pretty white flowers, very similar to Bladder Campion (Silene Vulgaris).
Plant in situ after last frosts until late summer, in full sun or partial shade. Thin to 10cm.
