Nigella damascena, Love-in-a-Mist - Miss Jeckyll, Rose

£0.95

Miss Jeckyll with rose pink flowers, flowering in June.

The flowers are very attractive to bees.

A very ornamental plant. Plants are fast-growing and often self-sow if the ground is disturbed by some means such as hoeing.

A greedy plant, inhibiting the growth of nearby plants, especially legumes.

An easily grown plant, succeeding in any good garden soil, preferring a sunny position.

Sow spring or early autumn in situ. The autumn sowing might not be successful in harsh winters. Plants can be transplanted if necessary.

Edible uses

Seed - raw or cooked. Normally used as a condiment, it has a nutmeg flavour.
