Much of the information on this website comes from the awesome website Practical Plants:

"Practical Plants is a collaboratively edited encyclopedia and database of information on plants cultivated with a practical intention.

Over 7400 plant articles covering edible, medicinal and material uses, propagation and cultivation information, plant associations and polycultures, and everything else you need to know to grow and benefit from practical plants."

Practical Plants draws upon the work of Plants for a Future:

"Plants For A Future (PFAF) is a charitable company, originally set up to support the work of Ken and Addy Fern on their experimental site in Cornwall, where they carried out research and provided information on edible and otherwise useful plants suitable for growing outdoors in a temperate climate. Over time they planted 1500 species of edible plants on 'The Field' in Cornwall, which was their base since 1989. Over ten years ago, Ken began compiling a database, which currently consists of approximately 7000 species of plants."

We thoroughly recommend the Practical Plants website and PFAF's website & their searchable database, and encourage you to buy PFAF's books.

Many of the photos used on this website come from the wikimedia commons site:

      What is Wikimedia Commons?

"Wikimedia Commons is a media file repository making available public domain and freely-licensed educational media content (images, sound and video clips) to everyone, in their own language. It acts as a common repository for the various projects of the Wikimedia Foundation, but you do not need to belong to one of those projects to use media hosted here. The repository is created and maintained not by paid archivists, but by volunteers. The scope of Commons is set out on the project scope pages."

I try to attribute pictures to the owners in every case, but if I have missed any, I apologise, please let me know.

This website would not be possible without the goodwill of these 3 websites, and I am very grateful to them.
