Ammi majus, Bishop's Weed

Ammi majus, commonly known as bishop's flower, bishop’s weed, false bishop’s weed, bullwort, greater ammi, lady’s lace, False Queen Anne's lace or laceflower, originates in the Nile River Valley and has white lace-like flower clusters.

This species is often cultivated for its attractive flowering stems which are often sold in markets. It is cultivated in India as a medicinal herb.

Seed can be used as a condiment.

Ammi majus is used in the treatment of vitiligo and psoriasis.  

Prefers a well-drained soil in a sunny position, succeeding in ordinary garden soil.

Sow spring or autumn in situ.
